UPDATE: The Antminer S15 has just been confirmed to have an estimated hashrate of 28 TH/s and power consumption of 1596 W with a price tag of $1475.00
The Antminer T15 has also been confirmed to have an estimated hashrate of 23 TH/s and power consumption of 1541 W with a price tag of $913.00
According to their official Twitter account, cryptocurrency hardware giants Bitmain are gearing up to launch their next generation of Antminers in time for Christmas. The two new models, known as the S15 and T15, will be available for purchase from November 8th.
We are officially announcing the release of our new 7nm miners which possess industry-leading hash rates designed to mine with the SHA256 algorithm. Two models will be offered, the Antminer S15 and T15. Available for purchase on 11/8. pic.twitter.com/m6HbWGZS1O

We don’t yet have any official confirmation on the specifications, such as power efficiency and hashrate, as of yet. However, we’re expecting a comparable performance to the 7nm miners currently offered by GMO.
Comparably, the S15 and T15 will mine with the same SHA-256 algorithm (BTC, BCH) and utilize a next-generation ASIC chip BM1391 7nm chip architecture similar to the GMO Miner B2 and B3 are currently using. Assuming that Bitmain intends to at least match the performance of its rival’s product, we are expecting the S15 and T15 to offer somewhere in the region of 33 TH/s. Again, assuming that Bitmain will at least match the performance of GMO in this regard, this would place the S15 and T15 at a reward rate of 0.001166 BTC/day ($7.56).
However, with Bitmain remaining tight-lipped about their latest product, there is always room for surprises. GMO created waves in the crypto world earlier this year when they unveiled their 7nm ASIC miners. Those units represented a step up from the best that Bitmain had to offer at the time, they have been looking to reclaim their crown ever since.
No doubt this is only the beginning of another technology cat & mouse chase, with each company looking to outdo the other by releasing successively more powerful, and efficient, hardware. In light of recent research regarding Bitcoin’s energy consumption, there’s no doubt that all eyes will be running over those tech specs, when they are finally released, to see if the S15 and T15 could provide the kind of reliable, efficient, and effective mining hardware that many are seeking.
